Submissions to GOLEM:

GOLEM: Journal of Religion and Monsters is currently accepting scholarly articles on topics related to religion and monsters.

Call for Papers, July 15 Deadline: GOLEM is soliciting book reviews from the humanities and social science fields on works exploring how concepts such as "apocalypticism" and "terrorism" use the symbol of "monster."

Submissions using methodology from a variety of fields are welcome. The editors maintain a broad definition of religion as culture, but the connection to religion should be clear in all submissions. Articles are peer-reviewed.

Submission Review Process:

  • All article manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by qualified academics holding doctoral degrees from accredited institutions; this is a process that may take weeks or months. Please be patient.
  • Manuscripts may be edited for grammar and style prior to publication.
  • Authors should be willing to respond to questions from Internet readers of their articles.
  • Article submissions must be the original, unpublished work of the author(s) and must not have been submitted for consideration by another academic journal.

The materials in this journal are copyrighted. The name and logo are copyrighted by the GOLEM: Journal of Religion and Monsters. The articles are copyrighted by the individual authors. The authors are free to publish their respective articles in other journals should they desire to do so. The author should notify the editor of the GOLEM and should include a statement that the article first appeared in GOLEM.
