GREMLIN is the Student Publication Section of GOLEM: Journal of Religion and Monsters.

We are looking for quality submissions from talented undergraduates or recent graduates on a variety of topics related to religion and monsters. Contributors can expect a peer-reviewed process that will return articles with comments, suggestions and feedback as well as a decision regarding publication. That is, aiding you in mastering professional standards for publication and research is part of our pedagogical goal, so expect to make some revisions even on articles accepted for publication.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  • Limit articles to approximately 3,500 words.
  • Include a 100 word abstract at the beginning of the submission.
  • Use proper MLA citations and endnotes.
  • Number all paragraphs in the following format: [1], [2], etc.
  • Note all sources used: plagiarism of any degree will not be tolerated.
  • Attach documents in Microsoft Word format and send to: ruby_ramji@cbu.ca. Place “Gremlin” in the subject line of your e-mail. Alternatively, you may send a paper copy of your first version to the following address: Rubina Ramji, Ph.D. / Cape Breton University

  • Include all current contact information, including your institutional affiliation and year in school or year graduated.
  • Include the name and e-mail address of one teacher who has read your article and encouraged the submission.
  • Note that failure to use proper MLA format will result in the article being returned unread.
